The Minerals Council of Australia is pleased to welcome registration to the 2016 Australia Japan Coal Conference in Sydney on Thursday 6 and Friday 7 October.
This longstanding conference provides a forum for an exchange of views between Australian coal exporters and their major Japanese customers, including power utilities, steel mills and cement manufacturers.
The conference will commence with a Welcome Reception on Thursday 6 October at the Museum of Contemporary Art, The Rocks. As the opening event of the conference, it will provide the perfect opportunity to network and socialise in a relaxed, informal environment while enjoying the panoramic views of the city skyline, the Sydney Opera House, and the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
Conference sessions will take place on Friday 7 October in the Ballroom of the Four Seasons Hotel.
Following an official welcome by the Australian and Japanese chairmen, a series of keynote presentations have been scheduled and sessions will include the Australian coal supply and Japanese coal demand outlook; the operating environment for the coal industry; and coal transport developments.
